Suzanne DeLaurentiis Receives Honorary Award From Marine Corps Veteran Association

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of the recent Emmy Awards  Suzanne DeLaurentiis  and Promethean Light Media hosted a successful gifting suite to benefit Marine Corps Veterans Association. To her surprise the VETS presented Suzanne with an award to honor her charitable work for them. Exclusive sponsors at the event had the chance to celebrate with VETS, Emmy nominees, celebrities and The Mentor Program guests at Paramount Studios. With the help of all sponsors we were able to donate VIP bags for all of the Dancing With The Stars celebrities and dance instructors on their first day of filming in the studios.

Suzanne is a previous recipient of the Oregon National Guard Commendation Medal who has supported service members and their families through philanthropy, and by raising awareness of their sacrifices through film and other outlets.

"It has always been my passion to help these brave men and women who have sacrificed so much to keep our country free. It's important that we take care of them when they come home," DeLaurentiis said.

Celebrities that visited the suite were able to spend the day being pampered with sponsor products and services including: skincare by New Image, Arbonne, makeup by  Jentry Kelley , complimentary DVD movies were given out by Anchor Bay, Deanna Hodges Clothing, hairstyles by  Kayla Lister , relaxing drinks by Zenify & Organo Gold, cocktails by Tequila Loca & ONE Coconut Water, and all healthy snacks and 5 star supplements by Andre Gordon of USANA.

Other sponsor gifts included: Hint Water, Bubba Sweets award winning cupcakes, Threadless graphic t-shirts, Vivian's Boutique, Wired for Freedom jewelry, and Skineez Shapewear, among other sponsors. Guests had a chance to meet the vets and take photos with them at our exclusive photo studio by  Jessica Turner  & Bernard Hinson Photography.  

Donations from this star-studded event benefitted the Marine Corps Association.
