PETACH TIKVA, Israel, PORT WASHINGTON, New York, November 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Tadiran Telecom, a leading global IP business telephony and communications supplier, announced today that it has been simultaneously awarded tenders to two large and prestigious telecommunications projects in mainland China.

Tadiran has again been selected to provide The Beijing Subway with advanced telecom solutions for its expansion of the Yizhuang Line, while also being chosen to deploy both dispatching applications and administrative usage systems in the Chongqing Metro. KTT, Tadiran's subsidiary in China, will implement these projects.

The first metro system in one of China's largest and most influential cities, the Chongqing Metro will be equipped with 28 units of Tadiran Telecom's IPx 3000 and IPx 800 systems connected over 16 km of track. Tadiran's systems will provide administrative and dispatch (operational) communications solutions, as well as network-wide management applications that will include state-of-the-art touch-screen consoles and the powerful Coral Network Management System for maintaining the entire network.

Beijing's Yizhuang Line, set to open in December 2010, will be approximately 23 km long and include six underground stations and eight surface stations. Like the Chongqing Metro, Tadiran will supply comprehensive administrative and dispatch communications solutions that will consist of two separate networks of 41 Coral servers (Coral IPx 3000, IPx 4000 and FlexiCom 5000 models), the Coral Network Management System and the special dispatching consoles.

Tadiran's successful bid to provide the Chongqing Metro, the largest city in Southwest China, with advanced telecom systems was the first such contract awarded outside of Beijing.
