TasteTV Launches First Viewer Created Restaurant Review Series and Expanded Broadband Lifestyle Programs

06 Nov, 2006, 00:00 ET from TasteTV

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Have you ever wanted to
host your own restaurant review series? If so, then TasteTV's latest
television program is right for you.
TasteTV is inviting viewers to broadcast their own local restaurant,
cafe, bar and nightclub reviews on TasteTV.com. In each video, viewers
recommend restaurants they like and explain why. With each video the
reviewer gains credibility as a food or "scene" critic, while the rest of
the TasteTV community benefits from their first-hand experiences.
In addition to local restaurant reviews, TasteTV also invites viewers
to submit episodes for the program, "Sexy Dishes," in which they describe
the sexiest dish they've ever had or made, and who or what made it so
 great.
TasteTV is the first and leading On Demand food, wine and lifestyle
network, with exciting and delicious programs ranging from chocolate, wine,
restaurants and recipes to chefs, travel, fashion & design. Launched in
2004 as the Indie Food Channel, the network has been at the forefront of
new media in both online television and cable on demand video.
Says a TasteTV spokesperson, "Most of what is occurring with online
video and IPTV is 100% in line with what TasteTV publicly forecasted when
we launched in 2004. We are very happy with developments." He adds, "Of
course, we do like to joke that when we originally launched as the Indie
Food Channel, for two years we explained to analysts and media watchers how
we could 'possibly be a channel if we didn't have a station or cable
number.' It appears time has answered those questions."
In a separate announcement, TasteTV is increasing its lifestyle lineup
in design, style, and fashion by teaming with the Billion Dollar Babes
organization to produce a feature called the "Billion Dollar Babes Report."
Host Susan Jones will report on all things BDB including upcoming exclusive
invitation-only events, designer profiles and celebrity fans. The program
will air at http://www.TasteTV.com and can be seen by viewers nationwide
 and abroad.
Since its first sale, BDB has become a worldwide fashion phenomenon,
with exclusive invitation-only events in New York, San Francisco, Chicago,
London, and LA. BDB events attract up to 3,000 devotees, from celebrities,
stylists, and editors to professionals and film & television executives.
