Tea Party Town Hall in Pasadena With Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich 'Making California Count'
PASADENA, Calif., Feb. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- TeaPAC, a Tea Party organization headquartered in Pasadena, CA, announced the return of Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich as the special guest of TeaPAC's Townhall Series on Monday, February 13, 2012. The evening theme and discussion will be 'Making California Count' as the race to the GOP nomination heats up approaching Super Tuesday on March 1. The event is open to the general public and will be hosted by The Romanesque Room at the Historic Castle Green Hotel, 50 E. Green Street, Pasadena, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The former Speaker of the House has chosen Pasadena as the first stop on his California trip. Mr. Gingrich is acutely aware of the value that Californians bring to the great debate taking place in America. Gingrich has proposed bold policy initiatives in energy, jobs, debt and taxes in an effort to distinguish himself as a Reagan conservative. Gingrich has been an avid supporter of Tea Party groups and Patriots in Southern California since 2008. This will be his third visit to TeaPAC in Pasadena.
"With 45 primaries and caucuses left to go, we are a long way from the GOP presidential nomination," Michael Alexander, President of TeaPAC said. "Decisive victory will come from the citizens of the Republican Party. We want the conservatives in California to know they have a choice this November."
TeaPAC launched a new website to bolster Get-Out-the-Vote efforts and volunteer sign-ups with the upcoming California primary and the presidential election in November. Volunteers are preparing for what TeaPAC leadership is calling "Battle: Los Angeles." Alexander notes that "Los Angeles County represents the balance of political power in California. If a candidate wins the county of Los Angeles he or she wins the state." This is why conservatives and Tea Party activists in Southern California are optimistic regarding the upcoming elections. "There is a lot of work to do, but we have some very motivated and energized citizens in the greater Los Angeles area," said Alexander.
The TeaPAC Townhall Series with Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich is open to the general public. R.S.V.P. directly to TeaPAC as seats are limited at www.TeaPAC.net or (626)792-1772.
