TechTeam Announces New Global Life Sciences Business Unit

Provider of outsourcing services moves to increase focus on significant growth opportunity in life sciences industry

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TechTeam Global, Inc., (Nasdaq: TEAM), a worldwide provider of information technology outsourcing and business process outsourcing services, today announced the formation of a Global Life Sciences Business Unit in response to continued growth and expanded opportunity in the life sciences industry.

The creation of the Global Life Sciences Business Unit represents an important continuing strategic commitment to this industry vertical. It expands on the company's existing Global Pharmaceutical Center of Excellence, which was established one year ago with the mission of ensuring high-quality delivery and continuous enhancement of TechTeam's eClinical Support Services, as well as to ensure that TechTeam's IT outsourcing services, such as service desk and infrastructure management, are aligned with the unique needs of the pharmaceutical industry.

The establishment of this business unit brings two important changes. First, the new organization will be led at the corporate level and will receive increased focus and attention as a business unit. Second, the scope will expand beyond the pharmaceutical industry to address customer needs more broadly in life sciences.

TechTeam currently provides technical support for more than 500 clinical trials, in 25 languages, across 25,000 sites worldwide. TechTeam helps customers get the most value from eClinical technology by offering services such as multilingual help desk, user and application administration, site assessment, site connectivity, solution provisioning and training. Its service professionals are specially trained in pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, clinical trial process and industry standard eClinical applications for functions such as Electronic Data Capture (EDC), Remote Data Capture (RDC) and eDiary.
