Telarix Powers 200 Million Call Detail Records in 12 Hours for Embratel iXTools Outperforms Competition by 25 Percent;

    VIENNA, Va., Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Telarix, Inc., formerly known as
 Emerging Technologies Group, today announced that the company's iXTools
 Interconnect Business Optimization (IBO) software has enabled Embratel,
 Brazil's leading telecommunications carrier, to process 200 million call
 detail records (CDRs) in 12 hours.  Running on an Intel(R) Pentium III(TM)
 processor-based platform, the Embratel metrics mark a 25 percent advantage
 over iXTools' competitors.  The Telarix solution was deployed on a platform of
 12 Intel Pentium III processor-based servers and included the application
 programming interfaces (APIs) necessary to ensure data integrity by creating
 an environment where data entered once was available to multiple systems
 operating on different platforms.  Telarix significantly exceeded Embratel's
 requirement that the system process 100 million CDRs in 12 hours, which was
 validated jointly with Intel during a two-week stress test of the system.
