Tellabs(R) Intelligent Network Management Gives Service Providers Smarter Network Control

New services and tools improve network performance, contain costs and increase customer retention

Tellabs Intelligent Network Management (INM) portfolio consists of both products and services that improve mobile and fixed service providers' visibility into the true performance of their networks. Tellabs INM introduces Tellabs® Network Performance Management and the Tellabs® 8000 Intelligent Network Manager, as the first two offerings in the new portfolio.

Tellabs Network Performance Management service provides visibility into mobile data users' experience throughout the network, from a mobile device to the application server. It helps isolate, prioritize and resolve hidden problems that impact network performance and service quality. Now, service providers can see exactly where, when and why data is dropped or degraded, enabling them to correlate users' experience to actual network performance.

Tellabs Global Services team collects, aggregates and analyzes network performance data to help recommend performance improvements, then implements and measures results. To deliver these services, Tellabs uses innovative tools that involve fewer probes than current market offerings, bringing substantial savings to service providers. Armed with deeper levels of information, service providers can make smarter network decisions, proactively resolving issues before they affect users.

Smarter, simpler network management

The enhanced Tellabs 8000 Intelligent Network Manager will combine functions from other Tellabs management products into an easy-to-use system that breaks down barriers between network elements for faster provisioning and lower operating costs. It provides a full set of management tools to support Tellabs mobile, optical and business solutions.

Through a graphical user interface, service providers get clear end-to-end views of networks, applications and services. Network operations are simplified making it easier to optimize existing services, introduce new services and prevent performance problems. The initial version of the Tellabs 8000 manager is already deployed in more than 600 networks worldwide.
