TELUS, Western Canada's Largest Telecommunications Company, Selects Telarix to Deliver Innovative Traffic Management Solution

VIENNA, Va., and VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ --
Telarix, Inc., formerly known as Emerging Technologies Group, today announced
that TELUS has selected Telarix's iXTools software solution to enable better
management of interconnect traffic, dial codes and pricing. TELUS, the
largest telecommunications company in Western Canada and the second largest in
the country, sought a software solution to help manage the company's rapidly
growing carrier-to-carrier call volumes. iXTools will enhance visibility into
TELUS' interconnect business, providing a scalable and cost effective solution
for delivering timely, detailed traffic information to business and service
 provider customers.
"Telarix's comprehensive solution will increase the transparency of TELUS'
network to its customers. It will enable TELUS to proactively provide
information about traffic and quality on the network at intervals determined
by the customer as well as rapidly respond to specific requests," stated Joe
Grech, executive vice president and president, TELUS Partner Solutions.
"Telarix understands our commitment to leveraging technology to deliver
superior service and maximum value to our customers. This solution provides
the intelligence and associated metrics to run our business at the best
practices level within the telecom industry. We look forward to working with
Telarix's team of experts to implement this solution."
Telarix's iXTools software will deliver summary and detail voice traffic
information through a web-based reporting portal. TELUS traffic managers will
use this to provide information about traffic, dial codes, and prices to their
customers. The software solution utilizes network intelligence to dynamically
suggest routing changes, allowing TELUS to make rapid changes as needed to
 manage network quality.
"Telarix consistently delivers innovative solutions," said Amir
Yazdanpanah, CEO of Telarix. "In part, this is because of the knowledge and
experience we've gained as we've worked closely with our customers to develop
solutions that optimize their interconnect business. We are pleased that
TELUS will be using iXTools to enhance their ability to deliver the best
 service to their customers."
