    DALLAS, May 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In today's jam-packed, multi-
 tasking, over-scheduled society, most Texans would, quite simply, go
 bananas if they were offered a free day with nothing to do, says a new
 survey conducted by Starbucks (Nasdaq:   SBUX).

     "It makes perfect sense that people want a day set aside for some rest
 and relaxation," said Nancy Kane, marketing director for Starbucks in
 Texas. "Summer is the perfect time to chill out and the fresh taste and
 refreshment of our new Banana Frappuccino(R) blended beverages will give
 anyone in need of a break the sense of escaping to the tropics." Starbucks
 is reflecting the spirited and carefree nature of summer through its new
 drink selections -- Banana Coconut Frappuccino(R) blended coffee and
 Bananas & Creme Frappuccino(R) blended creme.
     According to the survey, 30 percent of Texans surveyed statewide about
 their favorite way to spend the summer said it would make their day if they
 were given a free day with nothing on their schedule; followed by 19
 percent who would become excited if they could watch their favorite Texas
 baseball team win a game; 15 percent would be happy if they could attend a
 free summer concert; followed by 11 percent going to the zoo (for free,
 naturally); and six percent of Texans would just enjoy watching the crepe
 myrtles bloom.
     Specifically, Amarillo and Midland-Odessa led the pack of Texans who opted
