BELL GARDENS, Calif., Dec. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- In its 25th year of giving back to its Bell Gardens community, the Bicycle Casino recently celebrated the season by spreading holiday joy to local children and families. Well aware that the economic downturn has taken its toll on many in the community, the 1,700 members of the Bicycle Casino family took the time to help those who needed it the most.

It was on Thursday, December 17, that the employees of the Bicycle Casino dressed up as their favorite children's story characters and took gifts to the Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Center. Santa Claus was there as well to bring smiles to the faces of children with disabilities who struggle with life's challenges on a daily basis.

And on Tuesday, December 22, it was time for the Bicycle Casino elves, who had been working on the project for months, to welcome more than 2,200 children and their families to the casino's new Event Center and accompanying outdoor space for a special holiday celebration. Tickets were given to those in need of assistance this season by the Rio Hondo Boys and Girls Club, the local police and fire departments, and the Montebello School District, among many of the communities most revered non-profit organizations. The Bicycle Casino hosted a day of food, a DJ spinning music, carnival rides, a petting zoo and pony ride, bounce houses, a traveling train and horse pulled wagon ride and games galore for the children. Santa Claus distributed gifts and took photos with the children, and Frosty, Rudolph, and the gang laughed and played with the guests throughout the day.

The Bicycle Casino's Managing Partner, Haig Kelegian commented on the festivities: "We couldn't be happier to host the 2009 holiday events for the 25th year running.
