The Fremont Street Experience Gears Up for a Month Long Country/Holiday Celebration

    LAS VEGAS, Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Since opening in December of 1995, the
 Fremont Street Experience has become an internationally acclaimed
 entertainment venue as host to a wide variety of successful events and
 festivals, ranging from Mardi Gras to Cinco de Mayo, attracting thousand of
 locals and tourists alike.
     Beginning December 1, the Fremont Street Experience will continue that
 trend with the kick-off of a 26-day Country/Holiday Festival, with the
 Official City of Las Vegas tree lighting ceremony.  The ceremony begins at
 5:30 PM at Third and Fremont with performances by The Nevada Symphonic Wind
 Ensemble, the annual March of the Toy Soldiers featuring two new country
 characters, and a special appearance by Santa Claus.  Plus, City officials
 will be on hand to partake in the festivities.  The lighting of the tree will
 take place following the 6:00 PM showing of the "Holiday Lights" light and
 sound show.
     The festival will continue throughout the month with a variety of country
 and holiday themed elements including the 11th Annual Downtown Hoedown on
 Thursday, December 4, from 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM, featuring Nashville recording
 artists Ricochet, winners of the Academy of Country Music's Top New Vocal
 Group of the Year Award.  Opening for Ricochet is the twin sister duo Moore &
 Moore.  The Downtown Hoedown is the biggest party kicking off the National
 Finals Rodeo.  There will be additional entertainment by local musician Katie
 Kern, and the Fremont Street Experience member property casino/hotels will
 sell a variety of food and drinks.  Reno Air is the official airline of the
 11th Annual Downtown Hoedown.
     Following the Downtown Hoedown, the Fremont Street Experience will join
 forces with Binion's Horseshoe for the first ever Downtown Rodeo Stampede
 December 5-14, with live entertainment by David Jones & the Kern River Band,
 Joanie Keller, and Tony Marques & Sweet Justice, and a delicious Texas Deep
 Pit Barbecue, all in conjunction with the ten days of the National Finals
     Presented by Las Vegas Events, the Country/Holiday Festival will then
 continue through December 26 with a variety of live entertainment, the daily
 March of the Toy Soldiers and weekend visits by Santa.
     In addition, the Fremont Street Experience light and sound shows will be
