The Fremont Street Experience New Year's Eve Bash 2000 to Bring Revelers A New Dimension in Light and Sound
LAS VEGAS, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- This New Year's Eve, for the first time
ever, the internationally acclaimed Fremont Street Experience light and sound
show will be presented in 3D, and the 30,000 plus revelers expected to gather
for the once in a lifetime event will be adorned with special ChromaDepth 3-D
glasses. The light and sound show is being produced by Up In The Air
Productions, the exclusive light and sound show production company for the
Fremont Street Experience, formed by the Golden Nugget in l997.
New Year's Eve Bash 2000 promises to be the biggest and best Millennium
party in Las Vegas. Friday, December 31 beginning at 6:00 PM legendary
rockers Starship, The Guess Who, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, and REO
Speedwagon will perform live on dual stages at opposite ends of the famed
pedestrian promenade. Plus, tons of confetti will be dropped, thousands of
party favors will distributed, and dance music will be pumped throughout the
fantastic 540,000 watt sound system. All of this will be topped off with the
incredible 3D presentation of the debut countdown light and sound show
happening 90 feet high overhead and derived from over 2 million lights.
Tickets for the event are $100 and are available at all TICKETMASTER
Ticket Centers including Smith's, Tower Records, Robinsons-May, Ritmo Latino,
Odyssey and The Wherehouse or by calling (702) 474-4000, or online at
www.ticketmaster.com.
In addition, $90.00 tickets are available, while supplies last, at
Fitzgerald's, Four Queens, Fremont, Golden Gate, Golden Nugget and Lady Luck
casino/hotels. Guests purchasing the $90.00 tickets will receive a free "Y2K
Approved To Party" t-shirt, compliments of the Fremont Street Experience.
All event attendees will receive a colorful souvenir credential, which
will be available at eight separate entry points set around the exterior
perimeter of the Fremont Street Experience. Guests can purchase souvenir
credentials or exchange pre-purchased tickets for a souvenir credential at
each of the conveniently located entry points. Gates will open at 3:00 PM.
Special measures have been taken to ensure a safe and controlled
environment for event guests, including more than 150 security officers, and
an undisclosed number of Metro Police, and a restriction of bottles or cans
will be in effect within the event boundaries. In addition, a curfew of 10:00
PM will be enforced for those 18 and under unless accompanied by an adult.
Parking will be available in the Fremont Street Experience parking plaza
located at 425 Fremont Street. There are 1430 spaces available on a first
come, first serve basis.
Starship and The Guess Who will return to the Fremont Street Experience on
Saturday, January 1 for a free encore performance. The event will take place
from 9:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
