The Fremont Street Experience To Celebrate Cinco de Mayo; International Singing Sensation Pedro Fernandez to Perform
LAS VEGAS, April 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Following a highly successful, first
annual Mardi Gras event held this past April 11 and 12, the Fremont Street
Experience entertainment promenade is gearing up for a lively, two-day Cinco
de Mayo celebration.
Presented by Las Vegas Events, the Cinco de Mayo event will be held
Friday, May 2, from 7:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., and Saturday, May 3, from
1:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. Festivities will include a variety of live music with
international appeal, Mexican-style food, comedy and strolling entertainment.
On Friday evening, the fast paced, high energy comedy team of Mario &
Daniel will take the stage with their original, unique style of humor, which
has entertained audiences internationally for the past twelve years.
Songstress Guadalupe Pineda will dazzle the audience with her romantic musical
stylings, and Mariachi Sol De Mexico will captivate the crowd with their high-
stepping arrangements.
International singing sensation Pedro Fernandez will headline Saturday's
line-up, accompanied by Mariachi Sol De Mexico. Plus, Mario & Daniel will
return to the stage for an exciting visual finale, combining their incredible
improvisation skills with physical comedy.
Radio and television personality, Humberto Luna, known as the "Johnny
Carson of Spanish Television," will make a special appearance on Friday and
Saturday evening.
In addition, colorful strolling Mariachis and other street performers will
entertain throughout the promenade on both days of the event, and every hour
on the hour, beginning at dusk, the Fremont Street Experience light and sound
shows will play throughout the massive space-frame canopy.
Fremont Street Experience casino/hotels will prepare a delicious selection
of Mexican food specialties throughout the course of the two-day event and
will provide ancillary entertainment and decor.

There is no admission fee for the Cinco de Mayo celebration, and the first
five hours of parking are free in the Fremont Street Experience Parking Plaza,
with validation at participating casino/hotels.
The Fremont Street Experience is a joint effort of the City of Las Vegas
and the Fremont Street Experience Company, a group of 1O downtown
casino/hotels -- Binion's Horseshoe, California Hotel & Casino, Fitzgeralds
Casino/Holiday Inn, Four Queens Hotel & Casino, Fremont Hotel & Casino, Golden
Gate Hotel & Casino, Golden Nugget, Jackie Gaughan's Plaza Hotel & Casino, Las
Vegas Club and Main Street Station Casino, Brewery & Hotel.
