What You Should Know About Storing or Donating Your Baby's Cord Blood

NEW YORK, Feb. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Icla da Silva Foundation is hosting a free informational breakfast in an effort to increase awareness of available cord blood storage and donation options. Questions regarding the process of cord blood will be answered. All soon to be mothers, current mothers and others interested are invited to attend a morning of discussion led by experts in the field of cord blood.

Experts will include: Andromachi Scaradarou M.D., Medical Director at The National Cord Blood Program at New York Blood Centers, Frances Verter Ph.D., Founder and Director of the Parent's Guide to Cord Blood Foundation, and Kim Petrella R.N., Labor and Delivery Nurse at Christiana Hospital.

The Breakfast will be held in The Park Avenue Room at The InterContinental Hotel Barclays, 111 East 28th Street, New York, NY 10017 on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 10am to 12pm. A hot breakfast will be served.
