LANSING, Mich., March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The Michigan Golf Show comes
to The Lansing Center this weekend, with over 100 exhibitors, 100 feet of
hitting nets and a Guess Your Distance contest. Attendees can also test all
the latest and greatest clubs in the hitting nets and then negotiate with
over 20 retailers for the best price!
The Lansing Golf Show has kicked off the golf season in Lansing for the
last nine years. The doors open Friday, March 14th at 2 p.m. with Seniors
62 and older free on Friday. It is anticipated it will draw record
attendance, even with the state of the area's economy.
"This year, more than ever, people are looking for deals, and anyone
who has been to the golf show in the past knows they will not find lower
prices anywhere," states Barry Freed, promoter of the event.
"Our golf retailers are competing for sales and have cut prices on
everything from golf balls to full sets of clubs. This translates into
fantastic deals for the consumer," says Barry. "Even if all you are going
to buy this year for your golfing game is a glove and a dozen balls, this
is the place to do it!"
Another contributing factor to the projection of record attendance is
the weather. "This winter has been brutal, and golfers have been more
anxious this year than in the past, for the show to be here," Barry says.
"Where else in Lansing can you come out and swing clubs, test your long
drive and putt this weekend?" Barry asks. "Our website has had record
'hits' - people checking out the times of the show and downloading the
