Matthew Martin's concert will feature popular organ and piano compositions spanning several decades, such as Francis Pott's "Toccata," Maurice Duruflé's "Scherzo (Op 5)" and J.S Bach's "Canonic Variations on 'Vom Himmel hoch da komm 'ich herr' (769)."

This concert at Coral Ridge is one of three tour spots sponsored by the Fratelli Ruffatti Company, which is internationally renowned for building fine pipe organs.

"Having performed in some of the most prestigious music venues from the UK to Japan and Australia, Matthew Martin is an artist we are honored and excited to welcome to South Florida," said Chelsea Chen, Artistic Director of the Coral Ridge Concert Series. "It should be a captivating evening for everyone in attendance."

Matthew Martin, of The London Oratory, which is internationally recognized as one of the outstanding custodians of sacred music in the Catholic tradition, has studied at Magdalen College, Oxford, at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and with Marie-Claire Alain in Paris.

His "spikily dynamic style of composition" (BBC Music Magazine) has led him to develop compositions for many prominent ensembles including the choirs of Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, St John's College, Cambridge and the American Guild of Organists. Most recently his 2015 disc of choral music was released by the choir of Magdalen College, Oxford directed by Daniel Hyde on the Opus Arte label. As a result of the release, he was awarded a five-star review in Choir & Organ magazine.
