The Music Video Production Association Announces This Year's Nominees For the 11th Annual MVPA Awards
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The Music Video Production
Association (MVPA) is proud to reveal the nominees for the 11th Annual MVPA
Awards, to recognize and honor the exceptional talent in various categories of
music video production. Winners will be determined by the distinguished MVPA
membership with a gala ceremony to take place at Hollywood's new home to the
Academy Awards(R), the grand ballroom at the Kodak Theatre on Hollywood
Boulevard on May 22, 2002. Doors will open at 6:00 PM, with the ceremony to
begin at 7:30 PM.
The prestigious annual MVPA Award Show is the only awards forum within the
industry of music video production that recognizes the technical and creative
artisans of the industry. The MVPA was created to recognize music video as an
artform, ensuring that the industry maintains a high standard of
professionalism and artistic excellence by honoring its visionaries through a
selective panel of industry members. The nominees are selected and judged by
their peers, who review hundreds of videos submitted for consideration. This
year will mark the 11th Anniversary for the MVPA Annual Music Video Awards,
and it is the hope of the organization to establish further exposure and
awareness of the event and the exceptional creative forces within the
industry.
Key sponsorship for this year's event will be provided by the Eastman
Kodak Company(R) with additional sponsorship provided by Brass Knuckles,
Delapse, PSL Los Angeles, Universal Studios Operations Group, Matusalem Rum,

2002 MVPA Awards Nominees
All nominations were determined by current MVPA members, after screening
all videos in each particular category. In cases where there are six nominees
listed, it is due to a tie in voting. Ballots will be mailed to the MVPA
membership on April 8, 2002.
Award winners will be announced May 22 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
