Mayor and Councilman speaking at event, encouraging community renewal efforts in East Baltimore
BALTIMORE, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Verde Group, The Oliver Community Association and Bridge Private Lending sponsor "Come Home Baltimore" Home Buying Expo and Street Festival. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings Blake and Councilman Bernard "Jack" Young will kickoff the day-long event on March 27 from 11am to 4pm on the 1500 block of North Bond Street. North Bond Street will be blocked off between East Federal Street and East Preston Street. The event is one part of community renewal efforts to attract suburban homebuyers from surrounding Maryland and promote The Heritage at Oliver, The Verde Group's luxury, eco-friendly townhome development in the East Oliver neighborhood. "Come Home Baltimore" will also feature local vendors, live entertainment, door prize giveaways and fun for the whole family.
"This event will show homeowners an urban community which is sustainable yet stylish with community resources available to everyone," says Lloyd Williams, CEO of The Verde Group.
