TheFind.com Successfully Raises $10,000 in Its First 'Color for a Cause' Charity Campaign
TheFind.com's Shopping Search Technology and Significant Traffic Gains
Benefit Doctors Without Borders in the Inaugural Campaign
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- TheFind, Inc. today
announced the completion of its first "Color for a Cause" campaign, which
successfully raised $10,000 for Doctors Without Borders, the international
medical humanitarian aid organization. TheFind.com created this campaign to
mark the launch of its search by color technology that helps shoppers
easily find everything from red coffee makers to blue vases, black dresses
and more. TheFind.com donated $1 to Doctors Without Borders for every
person who searched for a "red" item on its shopping search engine.
TheFind.com chose BlogHer, the leading women's blogging network, as its
exclusive marketing partner for this campaign. According to Doctors Without
Borders, a $10,000 donation provides 10,000 needy people with vaccinations
for meningitis or measles.
"When you combine our powerful shopping search technology with the
efforts and enthusiasm of our passionate audience, great things will
happen," said Larisa Hall, vice president of marketing for TheFind.com.
"TheFind.com's traffic grew over 150% in December over November, and
January shows no signs of slowing down. Due to the overwhelming enthusiasm
and response from our users, we plan to make "Color for a Cause" a
recurring event. We hope to lead a new wave of companies that actively make
philanthropy a part of their mission, and we are working on selecting a
charity for our next campaign."
"Many leading women bloggers in the BlogHer Network rallied behind the
"Color for a Cause" campaign," said Jory Des Jardins, co-founder and
president of business development & alliances of BlogHer. "We are proud
