CANTON, Ohio, Aug. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of directors of TimkenSteel Corporation (NYSE: TMST, timkensteel.com) elected Terry L. Dunlap, a retired executive vice president of Allegheny Technologies Inc., as a new independent director. Ten directors now serve on the TimkenSteel board.

Dunlap spent 31 years with Allegheny Technologies (ATI), a diversified specialty metals producer, where he held numerous leadership positions in sales, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, procurement and information technology. He served as executive vice president of ATI's flat-rolled products group from 2011 until his retirement in December 2014. He also was president of ATI Allegheny Ludlum from 2002 to 2014 and served on the boards of two ATI Joint Venture companies. Dunlap is now the principal at Sweetwater LLC, a newly formed consulting and investing business with a focus on manufacturing and technology. He holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
