TLS Laboratories announces the introduction of its Lightning Flash and Lightning Flash XL preformed window flashing corner products, installation accessories that increase the reliability of window installations by protecting the most vulnerable part of window – the corners.  The products were conceived out of extensive forensic investigations of window installation failures that occur in vinyl, aluminum and wood windows – as well as doors – in all areas of the country.

Engineered to be the perfect size for vinyl and aluminum windows, Lightning Flash is manufactured in the USA from medical grade plastics – so is 100% compatible with all self-adhesive flashing and membrane products, regardless of flashing manufacturer.  The product makes it quick and easy to construct a cost-effective window pan for window assemblies, as recommended by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association.  Lightning Flash XL is constructed from the same plastic resins, but is sized to fit with larger wood window and door systems.

TLS Labs' owner, Gene Summy, is confident that these corners will prevent water intrusion issues.  "Over the years, we see the same problems, day in and day out, with leaky window installations.  These problems are created during the window installation – particularly with heavier windows that get moved side to side as they are installed. After looking at the flashing accessories available on the market, we decided it was time to come up a tough, durable product that would be easy to install – one that wouldn't get damaged during the window installation process.  And we knew that the product had to be cost-effective.  The result of this engineering effort is Lightning Flash and Lightning Flash XL Corners – products we proudly manufacture in the USA."

TLS Labs has developed detailed installation videos to support the use of these products on their website, so installers can quickly learn how these accessories can be integrated into every installation.  The products are available on Amazon.com – as well as directly from TLS Labs.  Please visit www.tlslabs.com/lightning-flash/  for further information.  Or call 800-310-7673.
