Tobin Starr + Partners Promotes Staff to Associate Partner Architectural and Design Firm Recognizes Leadership through Promotion
CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 26, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Tobin Starr + Partners has promoted four longstanding professional staff to the status of Associate Partners: Greg Coolidge, CSI, CCCA, Leslie Povall, CDT, Lara Reeves, CDT, and Jigna Gopaldas, AIA.
Now in its 14th year, Tobin Starr + Partners has grown steadily to a staff of 18 with a diverse practice and built work throughout the U.S. as well as Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe and Africa. In these promotions, the firm recognizes four individuals who have embraced leadership roles and embodied the professional culture of Tobin Starr + Partners through its growth.
Greg Coolidge joined TS+P more than five years ago as the firm's Director of Construction Services. Coolidge accepted his position with remarkable passion and dedication from the start. Initially working for three years as the firm's field representative of the NASCAR Hall of Fame construction, Coolidge has become an invaluable asset to the firm. He has broadened his roles and expertise in project management and construction phase services with all of TS+P's projects, while taking on additional firm leadership responsibilities. Coolidge, a 1993 graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Design in Architecture and a Master of Building Construction, is an active member of the Charlotte Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute. He and his wife, Kim, live in Charlotte with their two young children.
Leslie Povall, with TS+P since 2008, quickly advanced into several key project design and management positions, including The Carolinas Aviation Museum, UNC Charlotte Prospector Hall and Brixx Wood Fired Pizza. Povall exemplifies the firm's dedication to client service and has set a high standard for professionalism and project leadership. Povall, a 2005 graduate of UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree, is a member of Rotary International and performs violin with the Queen City Community Orchestra. She and her husband, Stuart, live in Charlotte and are expecting their first child this Spring.
Lara Reeves joined Tobin Starr + Partners in 2008. With a strong talent in design and dedicated work ethic, Lara accepted a major project management role in 2010 with one of the firm's largest clients, Zoës Kitchen. She took the assignment under her care as she built and led a diverse team of people around her. She has been instrumental in the chain's expansion, creating nearly 75 new stores nationwide during the past 3 years, as well as leading the development of their new design prototype. Reeves is a 2005 graduate of UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. In her spare time she also performs violin with the Queen City Community Orchestra and enjoys making improvements to her Craftsman-style home in Charlotte.
Jigna Gopaldas joined Tobin Starr + Partners in 2008 and quickly became a key member of the firm's NASCAR Hall of Fame design and construction administration team. Gopaldas led the firm's design and construction oversight for the exhibit and auditorium spaces at the heart of the Hall of Fame. Gopaldas has continued to develop her key role in the firm as Project Architect on projects such as the City of Charlotte Fire Department Headquarters, due to open in 2013, Pandora Jewelry and Salsarita's Fresh Cantina. Gopaldas is a 2005 graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. She and her husband, Paresh, live in Charlotte.
