Alabama's First Individual to Receive Honor

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Tom Broughton, President and CEO of ServisFirst Bank, has been named as American Banker's 2009 Community Banker of the Year. As part of this year's American Banker Banker of the Year/Best in Banking Awards, the Community Banker designation honors the individual and company that set the highest standards of progress, innovation and performance in banking and financial services. To date, no American Banker award has ever been given to an individual in the state of Alabama.
