Translation Services Made in the U.S. Becoming the First Choice for European Companies, Announces 7 Brands, Inc.
Good News for American Translation Companies
NEW YORK, August 20 /PRNewswire/ -- 7 Brands, Inc., the leading provider of technical translation, is proud to announce the unprecedented increase of overseas clientele.
Not exclusive just for 7 Brands, this new market is brought on by the global downturn being observed by major translation providers located in the U.S. "While our domestic clients have reduced their technical and legal translation projects to a small fraction of their original volumes, new European clients are becoming a major source of revenue for our company," confirms Luciano Oliveira, President of 7 Brands, Inc.
The remarkable interest in why Europeans want to send their translation work to the U.S. despite a solid base of European translation companies comes down to cost and profit. Camila Saunier, Vice-President of Marketing with 7 Brands Inc. states, "European companies may be saving up to 40% in costs when purchasing technical and legal translation from companies located in the U.S. These savings are quickly driving a wave of orders to U.S. translation companies."
The fact of the matter here is that the economic downturn has impacted the translation clientele in the U.S. market more severely than elsewhere. "U.S. translation companies have a higher idle capacity and are willing to work for lower rates to keep their employees busy and maintain as much revenue as possible", explains Mr. Oliveira, "plus the U.S. translation rates get even more attractive when converted in Euro."
European countries have also been impacted by the economic crisis, and where they were willing to pay more to keep it domestic in the past, today they buy services from abroad simply to get more bang for their Euros. European companies must pay the VAT tax when buying from other European clients, and with the standard rates of VAT throughout the EU between 15% - 25% it is simply not viable.
Of course, many European companies still work with their same local providers they have strong business relationships with, but it is a fact that U.S. translation companies are getting a welcome surge of new clients at a time when their own domestic clientele is as sluggish as the rest of the American economy.
