Fall color pageant closes in UP, now showing in Northern Lower Peninsula

    LANSING, Mich., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The curtains have closed on the
 fall color production in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, but audiences still have
 a chance to catch the show in the state's Northern Lower Peninsula.  Peak
 viewing conditions are reported in Cadillac, Frankfort, Gaylord, Grand Rapids,
 Grayling, Ludington, Mackinaw City, Manistee, Muskegon, Onaway and Roscommon.
     AAA's survey of state parks and regional visitor bureaus shows 100 percent
 color development in these areas with vibrant red, orange and yellow hues
 found throughout the region.
     In Southeast Michigan, peak color is still about a week away, with 70-80
 percent color development reported by Lakeport State Park in Port Huron,
 Kensington Metro Park in Milford and Seven Lakes State Park in Holly.
