TSCP Welcomes French Republic as New Member
Joins U.S., U.K. and Netherlands and A&D Partners in Developing Global Security Standards that Protect Against Cyber Threats
HERNDON, Va., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- As the pressure from cyber security attacks around the world escalates, the Transglobal Secure Collaboration Program (TSCP) today announced a third expansion in membership this year, with the addition of the French Republic.
France's Network and Information Security Agency (ANSSI), responsible for defining government policy and safeguarding information systems against cyber threats, will encourage several other NATO members to join TSCP. Members of ANSSI will influence and contribute to the development and implementation of new information security specifications that allow partners to collaborate on mission-critical projects without jeopardizing classified information.
"Cyber security threats are becoming more sophisticated and the security of our largest corporations are continually at risk," said Sebastien Heon, international relations director for the Network and Information Security Agency. "Our membership in TSCP is a proactive effort to reduce those risks."
Current TSCP members include the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), U.K. Ministry of Defence (MoD), Netherlands MoD, BAE Systems, Boeing, EADS/AIRBUS, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Rolls-Royce, Finmeccanica, Microsoft and Exostar.
"We are pleased to welcome the French Republic to TSCP," said Keith Ward, TSCP chairman. "Participation of governments in TSCP is critical in achieving our mission of fostering a secure collaborative environment for sharing data and protecting our shared program infrastructures against cyber threats."
