Tube City IMS Receives 31 Safety Awards from National Slag Association
PITTSBURGH, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Tube City IMS, LLC, a leading provider of products and services to steel mills and foundries globally, today announced that several of the Company's sites received a total of 31 Safety Awards from the National Slag Association (NSA) for 2008.
The NSA Safety awards recognize superior performance as measured against Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable injury rates. The awards were presented to the Company during the NSA's fall meeting in Pittsburgh earlier this month.

The Company's operation in Tuscaloosa, AL, received the award for the "2008 Most Improved Job Sites for Safety."
Operations in Beaumont, TX, and Belle Vernon, PA, each received two safety awards, one for "Job Sites with at Least 200,000 Hours since the Last Recordable Accident" and another for "Lowest Incident Rate" for employees.
Company sites in Canada receiving safety awards for "Lowest Incident Rate" for employees were: L'Original, Ontario; Selkirk, Manitoba; and three sites in Hamilton, Ontario.
