UHC Names Scott C. Clausen Vice President of Service Delivery, Supply Chain

CHICAGO, Sept. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- UHC has announced the appointment of Scott C. Clausen as vice president of service delivery, Supply Chain. Clausen will oversee UHC's supply chain service delivery, supply chain consulting, and Value Analysis Program.

"Scott has a broad understanding of the unique challenges that health care organizations face in the marketplace," said Irene M. Thompson , UHC president and chief executive officer. "His extensive experience in supply chain and group purchasing organizations will be an excellent addition to the supply chain leadership team."

With more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry, Clausen has expertise in leading national supplier and group purchasing organizations. Most recently, Clausen served as vice president, North American Sales, at Ansell Healthcare as well as vice president, National Accounts, at McKesson Corporation. He also served in a variety of field-based roles with Premier and began his career as a representative for Johnson & Johnson.

Clausen earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Wheaton College and an MBA in marketing from National Louis University. He also participated in executive leadership development at the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand.
