RICHMOND, Va., May 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Union First Market Bank today announced that it has successfully integrated StellarOne Bank into Union over the past weekend.
"Our teammates have been working on the data conversion and integration of StellarOne since last summer," said Billy Beale, chief executive officer of Union First Market Bank. "As part of the integration, the team converted more than 260,000 customer files, replaced more than 80,000 debit cards, switched out more than 700 signs and completed many other tasks. I want to thank all the teammates for their hard work and dedication to getting the conversion done well.
"Today is the start of something great for Virginians. Union is uniquely positioned to offer the range of services and solutions similar to larger out-of-state banks, but unlike those competitors, Union has quick local decision making. We have created a bank with the size and reach that Virginians' haven't seen in nearly 15 years. I firmly believe that Union is a place where customers can feel good about where they bank," Beale concluded.
With the integration complete, the former StellarOne branches are now operating as a Union First Market Bank branch. Union First Market Bank is the largest community bank headquartered in Virginia; operating 131 branches and more than 200 ATMs. Union is the only Virginia-based bank that operates in all major banking markets of the Commonwealth.
