University of Edinburgh Business School and Indian Institute of Management Bangalore Are New Members of Graduate Management Admission Council

 

MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 8, /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the association of international graduate business schools and owner of the GMAT exam, has admitted two new members: the University of Edinburgh Business School and the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.

The two schools were selected by the GMAC Board of Directors to join 177 other leading business schools from 19 countries.

The University of Edinburgh Business School was established in 1918 as part of one of the world's oldest universities, the University of Edinburgh, which was granted a royal charter in 1582. Since it began offering the MBA in 1980, the Business School has graduated over 3,500 students, representing diverse nationalities, backgrounds, and business specializations.

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore was established in 1973 and is considered one of India's leaders in management education and research promoting managerial excellence. It has numerous partnerships with industry and academic institutions around the world.

Founded by a group of business school deans in 1954, GMAC is a non-profit education organization composed of leading graduate business schools around the world and dedicated to creating access to and advancing graduate management education. GMAC also owns and administers the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), which is used as part of the admissions process at more than 4,700 graduate management education programs in almost 2,000 business schools.
