Vacuum Marinade Technology Coming To A Kitchen Near You

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Aug. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Vacuum marinade tumbler technology, long used in the grocery and restaurant industries, will soon be available for home use, thanks to a crowdfunding initiative launched by a local entrepreneur.

The Flavor Bullet, a vacuum tumbler with a five-pound capacity chamber, is currently seeking funding through the popular website IndieGogo.com. Erik Bauer , project owner and inventor of the Flavor Bullet, says bringing this device to home kitchens is a long overdue development.

"Restaurants and grocery stores have been using this technique for years to sell flavored marinaded meats," Bauer explained. "The vacuum technology really helps the marinade get into the center of the meat, so the flavor stays consistent through the whole cut. Most home marinade processes just can't compete with this flavor intensity, so customers end up paying extra just for this process. Being able to match this in the comfort of your own home, on any meat you want, in only 20 minutes, is truly a revolution for home cooking and grilling."

In addition to the vacuum tumbler, funders of the IndieGogo.com campaign also receive a variety of chef-designed marinades specifically for use with the Flavor Bullet. There are currently ten flavors designed, ranging from lemon pepper to buffalo, with more in the works.
