Vail Mountain Offers Skiers and Riders More Than 1,000 Acres for Thanksgiving

    VAIL, Colo., Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Thanksgiving skiers and
 snowboarders can thank Mother Nature for allowing Vail Mountain to pass the
 1,000 acre mark and open additional lifts and terrain this week in time for
 the holiday weekend. The recent generous early season storms, combined with
 steady work by operations crews, offer a great variety of skiing and riding
 options for holiday guests. Beginning Nov. 22 the resort will offer 1,038
 acres with 72 runs accessed by 13 lifts and on Friday, Nov. 24 the resort
 will grow to 1,146 acres, 83 trails and 17 lifts, providing some of the
 nation's best skiing and snowboarding conditions.
