DALLAS, Feb. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Buch, director of Legacy Male Health Institute, recently completed an exciting trip to Israel as one of 4 North American doctors comprising a Urology delegation led by Dr. Laurence Ross, past president of the American Urological Association. Dr. Ross arranged a fascinating itinerary of medical meetings with several of the top Urologists in Israel, including visits to Medical Centers in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa and Nahariya, in conjunction with the People to People Ambassadors program.

Although there was some time for sightseeing in between the action-packed schedule of medical meetings, Dr. Buch was most impressed by the warmth, intelligence and hard-working nature of his Israeli counterparts. Regarding aspects of male health in which Dr. Buch is a recognized expert, including vasectomy, vasectomy reversal and male sexual dysfunction, only male sexual dysfunction is receiving significant clinical and research attention from Israeli urologists.

One of the challenges discussed are the reluctance to perform vasectomy as a procedure for family planning in Israel, and so there is not a significant need for vasectomy reversal. Dr. Buch was keen to exchange thoughts and suggestions on ways to educate potential clients on the benefits of vasectomy and vasectomy reversal. The Israeli urologists are very advanced in their attention to the treatment of urologic cancers and kidney stone disease.
