Verathon Inc. Appoints Kendall Stever as Chief Financial Officer

BOTHELL, Wash., June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Verathon Inc., maker of BladderScan(R) bladder volume instruments and GlideScope(R) video laryngoscopes, announced today the appointment of Kendall Stever as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO"). Mr. Stever's responsibilities will include management and oversight of the Company's global financial affairs, including day to day financial functions for company headquarters in Washington State, taxation, investor relations as well as other company-wide financial functions. Mr. Stever will report directly to Verathon President and Chief Executive Officer Gerald McMorrow.

Mr. Stever replaces Maureen Graham, who is retiring from Verathon after 11 years of distinguished service. Gerald McMorrow said, "I would like to thank Maureen for her outstanding commitment to Verathon's growth and development. Maureen played a key role in the company's transition from a small, entrepreneurial start-up to the global medical device manufacturer the company is today." Ms. Graham has agreed to stay on for a period of time to assist with the transition and be a key resource on other strategic initiatives.

Mr. Stever held various financial management positions at Immunex from 1990 to 2003, when the company was sold to Amgen for $16 billion. As Immunex's Corporate Controller he oversaw all aspects of the Company's accounting organization and played key roles in the company's various strategic activities. Prior to joining Verathon, Mr. Stever headed his own consulting business, Double Diamond Consulting LLC. Mr. Stever holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington.
