SAN DIEGO and BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- From CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2009®, Verizon Wireless said today that with the help of technology partners, the Verizon Developer Community (VDC) continues to add more functionality and information for mobile apps developers.

The VDC launched in late July, and since then more than 1,000 developers interested in reaching Verizon Wireless' millions of customers have joined the community. V CAST Apps, Verizon's mobile application storefront, remains on track to launch later this year. Over the next month, developers can continue to submit concepts and full applications to be included in the store.

These companies provide back-end support, testing options for developers and other services that support the go-to-market process for V CAST Apps.
