Vermont Danby Marble Achieves Greenguard Certification
MENDON, Vt., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Vermont Quarries Corp., www.vermontquarries.com, is proud to announce its achievement of GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality and GREENGUARD Children & Schools(SM) Certification for marble surfacing. GREENGUARD Certified products must meet stringent emissions requirements set by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI), such as being screened for more than 10,000 chemicals. GREENGUARD Certified products are recognized, referenced or preferred by many retailers, companies, institutions, government agencies, environmental programs, standards and specifications around the globe. Vermont Quarries Corp is the first quarry to have its' complete line of marble certified under the Greenguard Certification Products Program.
Vermont Danby marble is highly suitable for residential kitchen counters due to its' low absorption rate of 0.07% - lower than many granites. This unique white marble has been in production for over 100 years and is now considered the choice of white marble for kitchens everywhere.
