Verne Global's Jim Hathaway Honored With Bronze Stevie® for Sales and Customer Service Director of Customer Service recognized for key role as point of contact between Icelandic data center and customers
KEFLAVIK, Iceland, Feb. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Verne Global, an innovative, UK-based developer of energy efficient data center campuses, today announced that Jim Hathaway, Director of Customer Service, has been recognized with a Bronze Stevie® for the Technology Industries group in the Front-Line Customer Service Professional of the Year category of the Sales & Customer Service Awards. The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service honor the achievements of sales, business development, customer service and call/contact center professionals worldwide. Hathaway is recognized for being among the first point of contacts for customers with the Verne Global data center and for leading the development and implementation of top procedures and initiatives.
Given the unique location of Verne's data center, the need for high quality, first-class customer service is crucial to customer satisfaction. Hathaway was instrumental in developing the processes and reporting that takes place between the client and the facility during and after an installation. As security is vital to all data center operations, Hathaway played a key role in designing the nine challenge points within and around the facility as well as other stringent security procedures. He also played a central role in securing the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001 certification for information security, showcasing Verne's commitment and ability to protect the confidentiality and availability of customer data. These key customer service and security initiatives have ultimately enabled Verne's customers, including RMS, COLT and the BMW Group, to rest assure that Verne Global is efficiently handling any and all problems that may arise.
"Best-in-class customer service is a critical component of our business. Our customers rely on Verne Global to provide a level of service that goes above and beyond the industry norm and we're delighted that Jim is being recognized for his efforts in this capacity," said Jeff Monroe, CEO of Verne Global.
More than 1,500 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were evaluated in this year's competition from 129 professionals. Hathaway was recognized among his peers in 43 categories during the eighth annual awards competition, held at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas on February 21, 2014.
