LED lighting solutions company strengthens sales team with addition of Martin Woolard

OXFORD, Mich., Feb. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Relume Technologies (http://www.Relume.com), a manufacturer of LED lighting solutions, continues to strengthen its sales force with the addition of Vice President of Sales—East Martin Woolard. Woolard brings with him 20 years of experience in the lighting industry. He joins Vice President of Sales—West Richard Nelson in planning and deploying a reinvigorated sales strategy for Relume.

Prior to joining Relume, Woolard served as the senior national accounts manager for Hubbell Lighting, Inc. in Greenville, S.C., where he was responsible for generating new retail and industrial national account opportunities. Previous positions include West region director of sales for Nexxus Lighting, Inc., in Charlotte, N.C., director of national accounts for Holophane in Granville, Ohio, and director of national accounts for Acuity Brands Lighting in Atlanta, Ga.  

Throughout his career, Woolard has received a number of distinctions, including the 2003 Acuity Brands Chairman Award and National Account Manager of the Year honors in 2004 and 2006.

Woolard will work with Nelson in selecting, deploying  and managing a national team of sales representatives. Nelson joined Relume in 2009 and currently manages the sales operations in the West. His leadership was instrumental in helping the company nearly double its sales in 2010. Prior to his work with Relume, Nelson served as the vice president of worldwide market development for General LED, a start-up company producing solid-state lighting. In that position, he guided the establishment of the company's Architectural Lighting Division. Nelson has more than 35 years of sales experience in markets across North America.
