Viad Corp Names Latta Vice President-Controller

    PHOENIX, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- G. Michael Latta has been
 appointed vice president-controller for Viad Corp (NYSE:   VVI).  Latta replaces
 Ellen M. Ingersoll, who became Viad's chief financial officer in March 2002.
     Latta's most recent position was corporate controller for SpeedFam-IPEC, a
 semiconductor capital equipment manufacturer.  Prior to that, he served as
 controller for Cardiac Pathways in California.  Latta has 8 years of direct
 experience with SEC-regulated companies and an additional 5 years with Ernst &
 Young.
     Latta has a bachelor of science degree in business administration from
 Oregon State University.  He is also a CPA.
