Virgin Atlantic Launches A December Holiday 'Giftaway' A COUNTDOWN CELEBRATION WITH DAILY TREATS TO TWITTER FOLLOWERS
SOUTH NORWALK, Conn., Nov. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Virgin Atlantic will celebrate the most festive month of the year by gifting one of their Twitter followers and fans something special everyday this December. Goodies in the Virgin Atlantic present pile include everything from branded merchandise and gift baskets to frequent flyer miles, Clubhouse access and upgrades to spa treatments, and round-trip flights to London.
From Friday, November 30, 2012 onwards, the airline will announce each day's giveaway on their US-based Twitter fan handle, VAAintheUSA. Followers will be asked to Tweet the airline, along with the hashtag #VAAGiftaway with the reason they deserve the treat of the day.
Virgin Atlantic has had a big year; with the launch of brand-new Clubhouses at both JFK and Newark, an additional daily service to JFK (bringing the number of daily flights from the New York area to London to six), new services from Mumbai, Vancouver and Cancun, a $160 million investment in the Upper Class experience and shiny new A330s, the airline has a lot to celebrate.
Chris Rossi, Senior Vice President of Virgin Atlantic, North America, comments:
"We plan to spread some extra holiday cheer this December by sharing some of the special touches our customers enjoy when they fly with us with our Twitter fans. Whether that's by sending some treats from our Clubhouse Spa or a cocktail shaker from the onboard bar, surprising someone with an upgrade, or even going so far as sending them to London, we look forward to highlighting this month of holidays with festive fun throughout December with a gift a day."
To see what's on the countdown calendar, check the Virgin Atlantic site daily from Friday, November 30. And to be eligible to win one of Virgin Atlantic's 31 holiday gifts, follow VAAintheUSA and tweet why you should win the daily present with the hashtag #VAAGiftaway.
