Virtual PBX(R) Announces Major Price Reduction
Hosted Phone System Leader Lowers Prices by As Much As 60 percent
SAN JOSE, Calif., May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Virtual PBX(TM), inventor and
leading supplier of hosted PBX services, today announced a broad reduction
in "per-minute" prices across its product line. These reductions offer
customers as much as a 60 percent drop in costs compared to previous price
levels. Virtual PBX attributes the new prices to lower operating costs
resulting from strong growth. The company has grown at 50 percent or more
each year for five consecutive years. The new pricing is available
immediately to both new and existing clients.
"We're delighted to be able to provide this price reduction to our
customers," said Greg Brashier, vice-president of Marketing and Sales at
Virtual PBX. "Our customers are the reason for the outstanding growth we
have seen, which has led to reduced costs. Now we can complete the circle
and give something back to the very people that have made us successful."
Virtual PBX customers get the benefits of a full-featured phone system
without having to buy, install, or maintain traditional on-site phone
equipment, eliminating the expense and complexity of setting up a business
phone system. In addition, calls can be routed to employees working in any
location and can follow them from phone to phone as needed, allowing them
to work from home or branch offices and enabling "virtual" offices.
Customers can use their existing phone numbers, whether toll free or local
numbers, or have new numbers assigned by Virtual PBX. Costs for the service
include a "per-minute" fee that is charged to cover the cost of routing
calls over standard phone lines, with higher quality than internet-based
calls. This per-minute fee is the subject of the announced price reduction.
Per-minute rates for calls to toll free numbers were previously between
6.9 and 7.5 cents per minute. Now, rates have been reduced to as little as
3 cents per minute, a savings of up to 60 percent. Local number pricing has
also been reduced, and price reductions are available for all three Virtual
PBX Service offerings, as well as the company's PBX Parachute(R) disaster
recovery service. Further information about the price reductions can be
found at the company's website, http://www.virtualpbx.com.
