SANTA BARBARA, Calif., April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, April 15 Vitamin Angels launches "Motherhood Is...", a Mother's Day campaign celebrating the universal truths of motherhood. The campaign, which will run through May 15, will highlight a different aspect of motherhood each week by sharing stories of the mothers their work supports and information on the importance of good nutrition for mothers and their babies. Supporters are encouraged to learn more about the campaign on the campaign landing page www.vitaminangels.org/motherhood and to follow the conversation via Facebook and Twitter.
"There is so much that goes into being a mom. For the moms we serve, the job is made that much harder because they lack access to basic nutrition," said Vitamin Angels' president and founder Howard Schiffer. "As we celebrate all that 'Motherhood Is...' our hope is to spread the word about the importance of nutrition for moms and babies in need and to show how, with the right support, moms everywhere can enjoy all that motherhood should be."
The campaign will feature a live event during the Mom 2.0 Summit in Atlanta, GA on Friday, May 2 and a resulting video and photography slideshow to debut just before Mother's Day.
The campaign is a Mother's Day celebration meant to raise awareness for the organization, placing emphasis on the essential role of good nutrition for the health and safety of mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding as well as for the babies and young children during their key developmental years.
The campaign is made possible through the support of Kowa Health Care America, Inc.
