VPT Launches New Video Lab Series
Technical Lab Presentations Now Available on YouTube
BLACKSBURG, Va., June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- VPT, Inc., the innovative
leader in providing power handling products, today introduced a new
technical lab service available via VPT's channel on YouTube, VPTTECH
(http://www.youtube.com/user/VPTTECH). This series of technical mini-labs
addresses engineering topics critical to the integration of DC-DC
converters into a military, avionics, or space power system.
The new videos provide detailed technical information on key
applications issues, provide insight into the methods used to perform
tests, and help engineers understand key issues and terms. "We're covering
the topics that come up the most often," explained Michael J. Bosmann, Sr.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing for VPT. "The idea is that customers
can come to our Web site, view the mini-lab videos, and put that
information to work in a power system right away. It's like having our
design team right there in the lab with you."
Videos are typically three to seven minutes in length and feature a
whiteboard presentation followed by a lab demonstration. The first two
videos immediately available are:
-- "The Effects of Cross Regulation on Dual DC-DC Converters," by Steve
Butler, Sr. V.P. of Engineering
-- "Connecting DC-DC Converters in a Series To Obtain Various Output
Voltages," by Jeremy Ferrell, Sr. Design Engineer
Engineers can access these videos in the "Today's Video Lab" section
found on VPT's home page: http://www.vpt-inc.com. Engineers can also
subscribe to VPT's YouTube Channel, VPTTECH
(http://www.youtube.com/user/VPTTECH), to receive notification when new
video labs become available. Several additional videos are scheduled for
release over the next six months.
