Waffle House Salutes Public Servants With 'Waffles For Heroes' Campaign

    ATLANTA, Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Waffle House has announced the launch of
 Waffles For Heroes, a month-long campaign to thank the men and women who serve
 and protect our communities.
     From September 11, 2002 through October 11, 2002, any police officer,
 firefighter, EMT or active military personnel in uniform can get a free waffle
 with their meal purchase at participating Waffle House restaurants.  In
 addition, anyone wearing a USA Flag pin or themed clothing will receive a free
 beverage with their meal purchase.
     "Waffles For Heroes is a way for our associates to recognize the well-
 deserving public servants in our communities," said Pat Warner, Waffle House
 Communications Director.  "And with the one-year anniversary of the September
 11th tragedy, this promotion will encourage all Americans to show their
 patriotic spirit by wearing the USA Flag."
     Waffles For Heroes, one of the biggest campaigns in the 47-year history of
 the restaurant chain, is another reason Waffle House is known as "America's
 Place to Eat(R)."
