This year, the Malibu Invasion Concert Tour will not only pack venues with a surprise headline performer, but feature turntable extraordinaire - DJ Reach - and one yet to be discovered DJ, who will scratch his/her way to the top of the Malibu Black Beats Battle and join the pros for the summer gig of a lifetime. Adding some of the hottest streaming technology to the mix, Malibu has partnered with DUBSET (www.dubset.com), the internet radio platform used by the country's most prominent DJs to connect to fans and stream their music globally. DUBSET's proprietary platform "legally streams mixes curated by the world's top DJs" by identifying and covering the royalties of the original tracks used so that every hot beat uploaded to Facebook by a participating DJ can be streamed and shared with fans and voters via the Web.

Malibu Black Beats Battle – Call for Entry
From Tuesday, April 10 through Tuesday, May 8, DJs – both aspiring and established – are invited to log on to www.malibubeatsbattle.com and upload a track (15 minutes or more) that will ultimately live on the Malibu Black Facebook®** Page. From Wednesday, May 9 through Thursday, June 7, fans may listen and vote, as popular vote will be one of several preliminary factors to help narrow the field of DJ uploads to three finalists. Other factors will include: number of track plays, duration of plays, quality of DJ skills, originality and overall experience in the mastery of cranking a party up a notch.
Malibu Black Beats Battle – New York City Spin Off
Three finalists will be announced on Facebook® and invited to New York City to "spin off" before a live crowd on Wednesday, July 11, at the Malibu Black Beats Battle. DJ Reach will be among the panel of judges at the Battle.
The last DJ left scratching at the Beats Battle will be announced and introduced as the new opening act for DJ Reach throughout the Malibu Invasion Concert Tour. In addition to the summer gig of a lifetime, the selected winner will also receive $15,000 and a full set of DJ equipment. The surprise headline musical performers for the tour will also be announced that evening.
