TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The year ahead is going to be an exciting year for sports fans across the country. When friends and families gather to watch this year's biggest sporting events, Shriners Hospitals for Children® invites them to score one for the kids and host a Game Day for LOVE™ fundraising party.
Game Day for LOVE is the first of several peer-to-peer programs designed to provide fun, easy tools to help those who want to support Shriners Hospitals for Children's mission to transform the lives of children through its innovative pediatric special care, world-class research and outstanding medical education.
For more than 90 years, Shriners Hospitals for Children has provided all aspects of treatment, including surgery, rehabilitation and psychological support for children with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate. With 22 locations in the U.S., Mexico and Canada, all care and services are provided regardless of the families' ability to pay.
"People often ask me how they can support our hospitals," said John Cinotto, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shriners Hospitals for Children. "By hosting a Game Day for LOVE, people are raising awareness and the critical funds needed to help Shriners Hospitals for Children provide treatment to over 121,000 patients each year."
When you sign up to host a Game Day for LOVE event, you get access to the Shriners Hospitals for Children Game Day for LOVE Playbook. From invitations to game day recipes, fun party planning tips and decorations, the Playbook has all the tools you need to rally family and friends to support this important cause while watching your favorite team or athlete.
