Westgate Resorts -- parent company to Westgate Park City Resort & Spa, located
at The Canyons -- and Prudential Utah Real Estate are celebrating a newly
formed business relationship that is based largely on raising funds for Park
City area charities. The new affinity relationship will be announced at a
ceremony scheduled for 11 a.m. on August 18, 2003 at Westgate Park City Resort

According to David Siegel, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Westgate
Resorts, the new relationship establishes an innovative means of marketing the
resort ownership concept, with a percentage of sales revenues being earmarked
"Westgate Resorts has always demonstrated a deep commitment to community
involvement," Siegel said. "We are setting new standards in how businesses
view their philanthropic responsibilities. I'm very enthusiastic about this
because, with Prudential Utah Real Estate, we will raise the bar for community
involvement, with the goal of raising a million dollars a year for local area
The first contribution will be presented at the announcement ceremony,
where Siegel will present a check for $25,000 to the Park City Education

of two such dynamic companies, each a leader in their field, toward a common
goal," said Prudential Utah Real Estate CEO Dougan Jones. "There is no limit
to how much money this venture can raise for local Park City charities at a
time when charitable contributions are declining."
Creating new and innovative ways of giving is nothing new to Siegel. Two
years ago he created the Westgate Resorts Foundation, a non-profit
organization that has raised more than $1.5 million for charities in the
communities where Westgate employees live and work. This includes Central
Florida; Miami, Florida; Gatlinburg, Tennessee; Las Vegas, Nevada;
Williamsburg, Virginia and Park City, Utah.
Westgate Resorts' primary means of disbursement will be through the
Westgate Resorts Foundation, which coordinates the resources of Westgate
Resorts with those of the company's employees and executives, vendors, guests
and owners to support its community involvement initiatives.
The David's Dollars Foundation, a separate non-profit organization
supported by the Westgate Resorts Foundation, offers assistance and resources
to Westgate employees in need due to unforeseen crises or disasters.
Furthermore, all proceeds raised by the foundation go to charity, with Siegel
personally covering all fundraising and administrative costs.
"In the last 20 years, Westgate Resorts has introduced timeshare to over
250,000 families and generates revenues of more than $400 million annually,"
Siegel said. "Still, creating the Westgate Resorts Foundation and truly
helping people in need is the accomplishment I am most proud of."
