Westin Cleveland Downtown hires Alan Feuerman as Director of Sales and Marketing

CLEVELAND, Feb. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sage Hospitality is pleased to announce that  Alan Feuerman has been appointed the Director of Sales and Marketing at the highly anticipated Westin Cleveland Downtown, which is scheduled to open in Spring 2014 after the completion of a $64 million renovation.

Feuerman brings more than a decade of hospitality sales management experience to The Westin Cleveland Downtown.   He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the 252-suite Embassy Suites Cleveland Downtown.  Prior to that he served as a Sales Account Manager at the 295-room Marriott Cleveland East and also spent seven years with Hilton Worldwide in sales and operations roles at properties in Illinois, Ohio and Florida.

Feuerman is active in Cleveland's tourism and business community as a member of Positively Cleveland and the President of The Beachwood 100, a non-profit organization that raises money for local police and firefighters. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla.

The contemporary Westin Cleveland Downtown – which will be managed by Denver's Sage Hospitality - is located in Cleveland's downtown financial district adjacent to the new Cleveland Convention Center and Medical Mart and just steps from Brown's Stadium and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The property's 484 guest rooms will feature Westin's signature Heavenly in-room amenities, including the Westin Heavenly Bed and a luxurious bathroom, along with a sectional sofa, an ergonomic work space and high speed wireless Internet. The hotel will offer 20,000 square feet of flexible event space that can be divided into 20 separate rooms, including a 9,000 square foot Grand Ballroom connected to the floor above by a glass staircase.

Adjacent to the hotel will be a modern farm to table steakhouse. Denver-based Sage Restaurant Group and restaurateur Peter Karpinski will introduce Urban Farmer – Cleveland's Steakhouse to the local community.
