When in Rome…..Party Yellow with HostelBookers

Back in summer, HostelBookers, the budget accommodation specialists, launched a Hostel Party competition which saw nine top European hostels battle it out for customer's votes. Among them, The Yellow Hostel, based in Rome, received the most votes and won with their extravagant Ancient Rome themed party with a €5,000 budget from HostelBookers.

Participants that voted for the winning party went in to a random draw and the winner received free accommodation for him and three friends to attend the party plus €2,500 for flights and spending money.

The party included Roman Handmaidens who served 300 guests with imperial age food on big silver trays. The food included unusual fruit and exotic decorations. A blanket of flower petals, gladiators, satyrs and old mythological figures welcomed guests and the event went on all night with cabaret performers, acoustic live bands, old vinyl DJ sets and an open bar.

Property owner, Fabio Coppola, stated: "It was an amazing party. Everybody was dressed like living in ancient Rome!! It was all over the news".

Competition winner, Andrew Bezzina from Malta, added: "The Yellow Hostel, with the help of HostelBookers organized an awesome party with great food, free booze, live music and a saucy burlesque show to top it all off!"
