WinCo Foods Announces Grand Opening of New Store in Spokane, Washington

BOISE, Idaho, Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- WinCo Foods, LLC announced today that it has opened the first of two new discount supermarkets slated for the Spokane market at 9:00 a.m. this morning. The store, located at 9257 N. Nevada Street, covers approximately 94,000 square feet of floor space and employs approximately 220 individuals.

WinCo Foods is an employee owned company and is primarily known for being the supermarket low price leader in each market where it operates. Store Manager James McGann is a 13 year WinCo Foods veteran and comes to Spokane after working as an assistant store manager in Richland, Washington and in Nampa, Idaho. Jim was impressed with the over 4,200 individuals who applied to work at the Spokane store and feels that he has a great team of employees. Jim is excited to open the first WinCo Foods store in Spokane and looks forward to meeting and serving local consumers.

As customers enter the store they'll see a large "Wall of Values" featuring special low pricing on a wide variety of popular items. Moving onto the main sales floor of the store, customers will appreciate the seafood and meat, deli and bakery service departments, a large fresh produce department and large and unique bulk foods department. The bulk foods department displays over 600 items, including many natural food products, some organics, snacks, candies and more.
